James T. Edmondson / Type & Lettering

End User License Agreement

Thanks for taking the time to check out the license. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Font licensing can be confusing, boring, or borfusing, so I really can’t blame you for your lack of interest.

Pay-what-you-want Use

The typefaces Wisdom Script, Duke, Lavanderia, Edmondsans, Mission Script, and Mission Gothic are available as pay-what-you-want typefaces on the Lost Type Co-Op, for personal, educational, or non-profit use. Commercial use requires the purchase of a commercial license.

Commercial Use

This End User License Agreement is an agreement between you and James T. Edmondson. This Agreement governs the terms of use the Font Software and the design of the Fonts embodied therein (collectively, “Fonts”), together with any media, printed materials, electronic documentation, updates, add-ons, artwork, web services and any other material that may be associated with the product now or in the future. This Agreement becomes effective when you “accept the license agreement,” or when you access the compressed electronic file in which the Fonts are contained. If you do not wish to enter into this Agreement, do not purchase, access, download and/or install or otherwise use the Font Software.

Users, Applications, & Websites

This License, unless otherwise stated, grants use for 1-5 users to use the Fonts at 1 location. Packaged with that License is use for 1 website, or 1 application (provided the application does not allow the user to create content with the Fonts). If use for more users, applications, or websites is necessary now or in the future, please get in touch.

Third Parties

You may provide the licensed Fonts to a graphic designer, web designer, software designer, printer or other service bureau that is working on your behalf only if they agree to use the Fonts exclusively for your work, agree to the terms of this License, and retain no copies of the Fonts on completion of the work. You may not provide the Fonts or make it them accessible to any third parties not described above.

You may embed the licensed Fonts into any document you send to third parties. You may embed the licensed Fonts for use on one web site using the format of your choice. You may embed the licensed Fonts in software or install them on a server provided that the end user cannot edit the type. You may embed the Fonts in any e-book format.

You may import characters from the licensed Fonts as graphical objects into a drawing program and modify such graphical objects. You may not convert the licensed Fonts to any format. You may not edit the Fonts in font editing software and generate new fonts. If this is something you are interested in, please get in touch.

Restrictions on Products

This License expressly prohibits the use of the Fonts Software in the creation of alphabet products such as, but not limited to: house numbers, stamp sets, rub-on letters, adhesive alphabet letters, alphabet punch and die sets or other methods for use in making such products. Any such use requires the purchase of a separate license.

You have reached the end of the End User License Agreement. I will buy you a beer if you are in or around San Francisco, California. Also, don’t forget to watch this.
